Qualitative Research Interest Group (QRIG)

The Qualitative Research Interest Group was a working group composed of faculty and graduate students who were engaged in advancing knowledge and the use of mixed qualitative methods in research and teaching.

QRIG sought to elevate mixed qualitative methodologies at the University of Maryland through programs that facilitated collaborative research and inquiry, including:

• Fellowship: Providing support for doctoral students to complete their dissertations.
• Resources: Offering specialized research and teaching materials.
• Lecture Series: Hosting events that showcased important and path-breaking qualitative student research.
